Equilibrium

Using some of the city’s doomed, dying trees as his starting point, Frost creates his work Equilibrium. Frost seeks the specific character and history of locations. Here in Sweden, he has become fascinated by our trees and large forests and sees them as characteristic of northern landscapes. Every environment has its unique conditions for vegetation, says the artist, and wants to honour nature’s own materials and the qualities of these. He links to local stories and myths. Frost wants us to look at the familiar with new eyes and stimulate dialogue about developing the relationship between humans and nature.
