Angus Braithwaite, 1984, Cumbria

En man står upp och på hans huvud har han en hemmabyggd mekanism i trä.

Peter Burger once suggested that for an avant-garde” work of art, a shift in aesthetics, happens all at once, entirely significant in its first moment of appearance, and it happens once and for all, any elaboration can only be a rehearsal.”

By documenting that moment, a work was conceived, we capture the shift and thus must acknowledge whatever work is produced is avant-garde proper.

Angus H Braithwaite, using his” Art Production Knowledge Conducting Head Peace” has abandoned the art itself (which we must except is” entirely significant”), leaving only that all important moment of conception.
