Ellen Freed

Ellen Freed creates genre overriding work based on the history of ideas, activism, dance theatre and pop culture. She is since 2010 part of London based project New Noveta. New Noveta has produced more than 100 site specific live pieces internationally, researching themes of human and societal fragility. In 2023 Ellen founded the collective project BAD MOM - a platform for autoethnographic challenging of mothering roles. In 2022 Ellen partook in the OpenArt and Magic Carpet residency. She has released sound works with the record label purge.xxx.
