Hamada Elkept

Hamada Elkept grew up in an uncertain and tense environment, marked by many problems and an ongoing conflict that constantly affected his identity, turning what was natural into crises and the colours into shades of gray.

Through his artwork, Elkept creates an artificial version of reality with a deeper artistic vision, aiming to engage the audience on an emotional level. He particularly focuses on topics related to the siege and occupation that surrounds him in his hometown Gaza, a topic that all residents there experience.

Elkept always strives to interpret reality through a unique artistic language, using different tools that fit the idea behind each work. He has participated in many group exhibitions, both locally and internationally, to share his artistic vision and create a dialogue about the subjects that are closest to his heart.
