My art revolves around stages of decay, genesis and movements towards life or death. I navigate parts of art history, ecology, metaphysics and knowledge I have acquired over the years as an ornithologist and insect collector at the hobby level. There I try to create my own kind of mythology that connects fragments of nature and civilization and creates third alternatives that to some extent connect contemporary and origin. In my work, I look for phenomena or phenomena in nature that have a universal and poetic touch that without interest arouses interest. Then the task is to get through art the actual event to connect to the universal. The narrative element that often occurs in my work stems partly from the self-experienced - as memories from a childhood, or as field notes and references to places where various finds have been made - and partly from mythologies, folk beliefs, old forms of representation, imagery associated with both legends and writing down history.
